Khadijah is a proud native of Miami, Fl. She is a graduate of New World School of the Arts and she received her BFA in Musical Theater from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. She credits her gifts and talents to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Khadijah was last seen in Miami New Drama’s world premiere of the musical, A Wonderful World in Spring 2022. Other credits include: Deloris Van Cartier in Sister Act the Musical, Felecia in Memphis, Dorothy in The Wiz, Nettie in The Color Purple, Lorraine in All Shook Up, and Ronnette in Little Shop of Horrors, to name a few. She was recently awarded Best Actress in a Musical for Deloris Van Cartier in Sister Act by Broadway World. She was also Carbonell nominated for Best Actress in a musical for Felicia in Memphis . Khadijah is the Founder and Creative Director of VMTA Studio where she coaches young performing artists in the South Florida area. She is currently working on her first EP, writing her own projects, as well as exploring the director’s chair. She made her professional directorial debut with the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center directing the play Pretty Fire in 2020, you could expect to see her next directorial project this upcoming March 2023.
