Imran is completely overcome with joy to be making his Slow Burn debut in their magical production of Disney’s Newsies. Imran Hylton is a BFA musical theater graduate and Summa Cum Laude award recipient from The University of Florida and New World School of the Arts. Imran started classical Vaganova Ballet training and Jack Cole musical theater jazz dance training at the age of 18 and went on to further his dance education at Miami City Ballet, and Thomas Armour Youth Ballet. He has choreographed and directed all over south Florida theater. Past performance credits include his Carbonell Award Winning Performance (Best Supporting Actor In a Musical) in Area Stage Company’s production of Beauty And The Beast (Maurice/ Madame,) Annie (Miss Hannigan), In The Heights (Main Featured Dancer), Frankenstein (Gustav/ Constable), the world premiere musical A Wonderful World (Banjo Ben/ Swing) directed by Tony Nominee Christopher Renshaw, Etc. Under the tutelage of some of the hardest working artists in the business, he is proud to call himself an actor. He would like to thank the amazing creative team of this production, Patrick Fitzwater for being an all-around incredible leader and friend to him in this process, his fellow cast members whom he has the absolute honor to be sharing the stage with, Jonathan, and lastly his family and friends for their constant love, sacrifice and support.
