Patrick Brady is currently serves as Associate Professor of Theatre and Music Director at Shenandoah Conservatory where he holds the Harold Herman Chair in Musical Theatre.
Mr. Brady was the original musical director/conductor and vocal arranger for The Producers (winner of twelve Tony Awards including ‘Best Musical’). He performed the same duties and also wrote the transition music for Fosse (three Tony Awards including ‘Best Musical’). Other Broadway credits include The Will Rogers Follies, Crazy for You, Young Frankenstein, Triumph of Love, Big, Nick and Nora, King David and Cats. Off-Broadway credits include Closer Than Ever, St. Louis Woman and Hey Love: The Music of Mary Rodgers.
Regional theatre credits include Into the Woods (Walnut Street Theatre), Tomfoolery (Actor’s Theatre of Louisville), Pal Joey (Huntingdon Stage) and Closer Than Ever (Williamstown Theatre Festival & Arena Stage).
He appeared as either conductor and/or pianist on many original cast albums including The Producers (Grammy Award), Fosse (Grammy Award), The Will Rogers Follies (Grammy Award), Closer Than Ever (Grammy Nomination) and Young Frankenstein (Grammy nomination). He composed the music for the Off-Broadway musical Pete 'N' Keeley which has had over fifty subsequent productions across America.
Mr. Brady is thrilled to be working with the Pando Tribe in creating this stunning production of Hair – a show he has been fascinated with since first hearing the original cast album in 1969 (!).
