Cadence Weaver
Meg Page

Cadence Weaver is a versatile soprano in her first year of doctoral study at Shenandoah Conservatory from the studio of professor Diane Atherton. A proud Appalachian native from Letart, West Virginia, she holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in music performance and a Master of Arts in music history and literature from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, where she was under the tutelage of Dr. Carline Waugh, Dr. Vicki Stroeher and Bruce Rous. Her musicological interests primarily focus on Appalachian music, music and gender performance, and psychological and semiotic approaches to the works of Gustav Mahler. She recently made her debut at the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra as a mezzo-soprano soloist in December 2023. She will present the role of Meg Page in Verdi’s Falstaff in Spring 2025 at the conservatory. Weaver is a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Berryville, Virginia, serving as a soprano section leader in the choir and a very proud studio teacher of several young voice students. Her greatest achievement is her two-year old son, Jude, who also loves to sing and will add optional descants throughout the performance.
