Sarah Thompson
Trombone

Sarah Thompson is a freelance trombonist in the Greater DC and Northern Virginia area with 12 years of experience. Thompson has performed in 40 plus productions for various theaters in Northern Virginia and the Greater Pittsburgh Area. She recently played trombone for the Broadway National Tour of The Cher Show Musical. Thompson is also an active orchestral musician who has played with the Altoona Symphony Orchestra (PA), the Fredericksburg Symphony Orchestra (VA) and the Loudoun Symphony Orchestra (VA). Thompson received her Bachelor of Arts from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, her Masters of Music from the University of Delaware, and her Doctorate of Musical Arts from the Shenandoah Conservatory. Her major teachers include Christopher Hornick, Christian Dickinson, Bruce Tychinski, Justin Moore, Matt Niess, and Jeff Cortazzo.
