For mixed ensemble (2017)

Cut / Rez is a theatre composition of a sort — it has a clear dramaturgical design, and the music functions as an illustration of an otherwise non-existent story. Musical flow is interrupted with cuts of different kinds and consequences, the most important one being the one with an actual knife. The instrumentation is quite unusual, but it offers a lot of colors and a wide range of dynamics. The piece was commissioned by the Slovenian ensemble for contemporary music MD7 in 2017.
