McKenna Dunn (she/her) is a dancer from Frederick, Maryland. She began her dance training at the age of five at her hometown studio, Dee Buchanan Studio of Dance (DBSD). At DBSD, she trained in various styles, including ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, modern, lyrical, musical theatre, hip-hop, acrobatics and voice. Dunn has completed all three Acrobatic Arts Pre-Professional Exams and completed her Cecchetti Method Advanced Professional Exam with honors. Dunn was a member of the Dee Buchanan Competition Team for eleven years, earning numerous regional and national awards and scholarships. She participated in the Shenandoah Summer Dance Intensive during the summer of 2023 and 2024, as well as the Joffrey Cirque Arts Summer Intensive in Las Vegas (2024 and 2025) and EMIA Summer Dance Intensive (2025). During high school, she was a member and captain of the Middletown High School (MHS) Color Guard and the MHS Dance Team. She also participated in theatre productions with MHS and DBSD, with notable roles including Lipschitz in Chicago, the Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz, and Jane Banks in Cameron Mackintosh and Disney’s Mary Poppins. In addition to her training, Dunn has been a staff member at DBSD since 2021, teaching and assisting students, and a staff member at Shenandoah Conservatory Arts Academy since 2025. She holds her Acrobatic Arts Assistant Certification and is working on completing her Acrobatic Arts Module One and Two certifications. Dunn is also certified in all five Alixa Flexibility Modules and frequently demonstrates for Alixa Flexibility courses. Currently, Dunn is furthering her education at Shenandoah University, studying dance (Bachelor of Arts) and elementary education with an anticipated graduation in 2028.
