From Charleston, West Virginia, Isaiah Canterbury is a first-year student at Shenandoah and will be making his main stage debut in On the Town. This past spring, Canterbury was awarded the first place prize at the ESU National Shakespeare Competition, and went on study acting and Shakesepare for three weeks at the British American Drama Academy in Oxford, England. See Canterbury perform in Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night this winter, with the student-run Shakespeare troupe, Shut Up! It’s Shakespeare. When not onstage, Canterbury enjoys playing guitar and spending time with his friends and family. He credits the Children’s Theatre of Charleston and the Charleston Light Opera Guild for helping him get to where he is now.
