Bethany Kasperek is a standout figure in the realm of theatrical design. Known for her expertise in scenic design, scenic painting and costume design, she thrives on the challenges of production design. She finds joy and fulfillment in crafting immersive worlds and solving unique puzzles.

Bethany’s artistic journey began with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Design & Technology from the University at Buffalo, where she not only honed her craft but also garnered recognition, earning nominations for Outstanding Costume Design and Outstanding Set Design at the local Artie Awards. These early successes fueled her passion, leading her to pursue a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Design from the University of Iowa, where she delved deeper into her craft.

As a visiting assistant professor of scenic design at the University of Iowa, Kasperek imparted her wealth of knowledge and boundless enthusiasm to budding designers, shaping the future of the industry with her unique perspective. In her role as a mentor, Kasperek instills in her students the values of craftsmanship, innovation and storytelling.

Kasperek’s dedication to her craft is evident in every stroke of her brush and every meticulously designed set. She isn’t just a designer; Kasperek is a seasoned professional who is shaping the essence of theater with her creativity, dedication and unwavering commitment to excellence.
