Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Phelan Newman is a junior acting major and is honored to be in her fourth Shenandoah production! Most recently, she made her New York City cabaret debut at 54 Below with the “54 Sings The Do Not Sing List” company. Pittsburgh locals may have also seen her hosting at Kennywood Park with the world-famous Nerveless Nocks circus family this past summer. Favorite past credits include: Antigone (Chorus), Clue (Mrs. Peacock), Godspell (Turn Back, O Man) and The Little Mermaid (Ursula). She is the vice president and treasurer of Shenananigans Sketch Comedy and a member of Alpha Psi Omega. She feels so grateful to work with this wonderful supportive, and hilarious company, and she cannot thank Paul enough for inspiring her as an artist, along with making Dame Claude feel so special. She sends all her love to her mom, dad, brother Locklin, grandma Jan and PopPop, and her mini poodle Dinkus. She couldn’t do what she does without them.
