Ashley Crawford is a junior violin performance major at Shenandoah Conservatory. In 2019, Crawford was the principal second violinist in the Potomac Valley Youth Orchestra (PVYO), and went on to win the senior division of PVYO’s 2019 concerto competition. In 2020 and 2021, she was the principal second violinist and assistant concertmaster in the Shenandoah Conservatory Symphony Orchestra and was featured as a soloist in Shenandoah University’s production of The Last Five Years. She also took first place in the 2021 Charleston International Music Competition, third place in the 2021 King’s Peak International Competition, and was awarded a silver medal in the 2021 North American Virtuoso International Competition. Crawford currently studies under award-winning violinist Akemi Takayama.
