Pianist Ido Yehonatan Shalom is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Shenandoah Conservatory, where he studies with John O’Conor. He previously completed his Master of Music at Shenandoah Conservatory and his Bachelor of Music at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance.
Shalom has performed in piano festivals and concert series across the United States and Europe, including Austria, Spain and Belgium, as well as in major venues throughout Israel, appearing in both solo and chamber music settings. His artistic work has been featured in the press, including The Jerusalem Post and Israel Hayom. He is a recipient of support from the America–Israel Cultural Foundation and will perform as part of the Washington Young Artist Series.
An active soloist and collaborative pianist, Shalom performs regularly with instrumentalists and vocalists, bringing a chamber-music sensibility to all his performances. His playing is noted for its structural clarity, stylistic sensitivity, and thoughtful musical expression.
