Alyssa Bonfardeci is a first-year master’s student in pedagogy: classical voice, studying with Dr. Melissa Chávez. Originally from Syracuse, New York, she earned her Bachelor of Music in vocal performance from the Crane School of Music at the SUNY College at Potsdam. At Crane, she had the opportunity to sing the soprano solo in Beethoven’s Mass in C Major alongside the Crane Chorus and Symphony Orchestra, and she premiered the role of Mary in the new opera Computing Venus by Timothy Takach and Caitlin Vincent, which highlights the life of famous astronomer Maria Mitchell.
