This marks Elizabeth's 12th season as Managing Director, but she's been a part of SSMT since 1986 when she made her stage debut as Gretl in The Sound of Music. Liz grew up in Winchester, and as the daughter of one of SSMT's founders, Tom Albert, she worked many a summer either front of house, playing in the pit orchestra, working backstage as an intern, and performing in over 35 productions throughout the years. Favorite roles at SSMT include Carrie Pipperidge in Carousel, Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast, Ruth in The Pirates of Penzance, and Glinda in the 2024 production of TheWizard of Oz. Special thanks to all those who worked tirelessly to make Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre a reality and a living legacy for many years to come.
