Garrett Jones is a theatre and music educator, and has been the season music superviosr for SSMT since 2022! Having music directed last season's Singin' in the Rain, other favorite music direction and conducting highlights include the D.C. regional premieres of Sister Act and The Hunchback of Notre Dame at Riverside Center for the Performing Arts, Fiddler on the Roof, and Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella at SSMT, and The Apple Tree and the world premiere staged reading of A Killer Party by Jason Howland here at Shenandoah. He enjoys working as an audition and workshop accompanist with educational institutions including American University, George Washington University, Shenandoah University, Shepherd University, and the University of Mary Washington; with theatres including Arena Stage, Creative Cauldron, Keegan Theatre, Signature Theatre, and Workhouse Arts Center; and as a guest artist with organizations including Adventure Theatre MTC, Creative Stages, and the Virginia Thespian Festival. Recent professional credits include festival accompanist for VTF 2026, music director for a D&D-themed Into the Woods at Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, VA, and associate conductor for Turn of the Screw at Creative Cauldron at Falls Church, VA. Locally, Garrett is the staff accompanist at Millbrook High School, theatre music director for John Handley High School, organist at Opequon Presbyterian Church, and plays keyboards with Robbie Limon and Tracey Wygal’s Hank Williams & Patsy Cline tribute show, as well as Robbie’s Buddy Holly tribute show! @gjonespiano
