Samanda Engels, horn, is a versatile freelance musician performing with the Phoenix Symphony, Arizona Broadway Theatre, Wichita Grand Opera, and numerous musical theatre productions. She has performed with Grammy-winning artist Sandi Patty, violinists Caroline Campbell and Lindsey Stirling, and appeared in Prague with Filarmonietta Praga. A University of Oklahoma MM graduate, Samanda loves playing for musicals and operas and is thrilled to return for her second summer with SSMT. She is a member of the Phoenix Brass Collective and ProMusica, and enjoys teaching musicians of all ages, recently serving as interim horn instructor at Kansas State University.
