Meredith Monk (b. 1942) is a world renowned composer, singer, director/choreographer and creator of new opera, music-theater works, films and installations. Monk creates works that thrive at the intersection of music and movement, image and object, light, and sound, discovering and weaving together new modes of perception.

"Panda Chant” is a section from “The Games”: a science fiction opera by Meredith Monk and Ping Chong. Coming at the middle of the opera, “Panda Chant II” is an energetic ritual performed by the entire community.
