Soprano Elena Fierer radiates joy and confidence in her performances. On stage, she exhibits a deep commitment to storytelling and has portrayed characters including Sandman (Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel) and Monica (Menotti's The Medium). As an artist, she continually strives for improvement, always pushing the boundaries of her technical, linguistic and artistic abilities. At Shenandoah University, Fierer has been a cast member of Shenandoah University’s Opera Up Close scenes programs as the title character in Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta and Wife in Judith Weir’s The Vanishing Bridegroom. Additionally, she achieved honors for her participation in Virginia's National Association of Teachers of Singing Competition (NATS), and won Shenandoah Conservatory’s 2020/21 Student Soloists Competition in the undergraduate category with the zarzuela aria “Me Llaman la Primarosa” from El Barbero de Sevilla.
