Garage Rock
Alex Daughtrey
Ruebush Hall, Room 128
2:30PM & 4:45PM

Garage Rock is a collection of songs and recordings done with love for the analog recording process. All songs recorded in this project were fully tracked with no punch-ins or fancy edits, but all live directly to 4-track analog cassette tapes. Taking inspiration from the album Rubber Factory by the Black Keys, the entire project will be recorded on location, utilizing the natural echoes and reverberations of the parking garage on campus. Songs featured throughout are a reflection of the history and medium of “garage” rock from both the initial movement, as well as the early 2000s revival of the genre.
