Kayce Grogan-Wallace is thrilled to be a part of this production. She is a native of Marietta, Georgia, and by age thirteen, she was signed to Columbia Records and her album, What Girls Are Made Of, debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

She attended Kennesaw State University and studied theatre and performance studies and dance. She is an educator and works with aspiring young performers out of her passion and love of the arts. She earned the title of Teacher of the Year for 2013/14 at Marietta Middle School all while still continuing to perform in plays such as Hairspray (Atlanta Lyric Theatre, Motormouth Maybelle/Suzi Bass Award Nominee, Best Actress), Dreamgirls (Atlanta Lyric, Effie White), The Color Purple (Actor’s Express, Sofia/ Suzi Bass Award Recipient for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical), and most recently received the Broadway World Regional Theatre Award for her work in Once on This Island with the Jennie T. Anderson Theatre as Mama Eurilie.

She has vocal produced and written songs for the OWN Television show Greenleaf where she won an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Gospel/Christian Album Traditional or Contemporary, a Stellar Gospel Music Award for Special Event CD of the Year, and earned a Grammy Award win for the song Better Days featuring Le’Andria Johnson.

Kayce is always happy to share her gifts and talents with everyone she can because she firmly believes that the world can use as much joy as possible to help us through each day.
