Sarah McMichen fell in love with musicals at an early age. While watching movies with her grandparents (on VHS!), she did not realize they were actually musicals. She just thought there was lot of singing in old movies! After receiving her master’s degree from Michigan State University as a woodwind specialist, she spent several years performing for musical theaters and symphonies. She can frequently be seen carrying numerous instruments around Shenandoah University, where she is pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts in Woodwind Doubling. When not teaching private lessons, she divides her free time between playing video games and wishing she had more free time.
