Ella McCauley (she/her) is a dancer and artist from Washington, D.C. Ella trained at The Metropolitan School of the Arts in Alexandria, Virginia, for fifteen years, as well as with the Hayfield Secondary School dance team, where she focused on performances, as well as having multiple teaching and choreographic opportunities.
Ella is now twenty years old and is currently attending Shenandoah Conservatory to obtain her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. She is continuing her training in various styles including ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, pointe, musical theatre and commercial styles. While at Shenandoah, she has been involved in multiple choreographic works and trained with many professionals, including Tiffanie Carson, Maurice Fraga, Shylo Martinez, Daniel Padierna, Erica Helm and Mary Robare, as well as student-led works. Additionally, Ella has worked with guest artists Ginger Cox, Natasha Davis, and most recently Ballet Hispánico’s residency work Batucada Fantástica in Spring 2022.
In 2022, Ella attended American College Dance Association’s (ACDA) Mid-Atlantic North Festival (Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania), where she took classes from professionals in the industry and performed in both the adjudicated concert and the final gala in student-choreographed work. She most recently spent two weeks in New York City training with Ballet Hispánico during their ChoreoLAB Summer Intensive. She is eager to continue growing her artistry as a professional through different creative paths within the industry.
