Karsen is ecstatic to be co-designing 12 Angry Jurors for Shenandoah University; this will be her first design work seen on the Conservatory stage. She has designed and constructed costumes throughout her career for both professional and academic theatrical spaces. Her most recent design work includes The Taming at Lean Ensemble Theatre in Hilton Head, SC. She spent this past summer designing costumes for various musicals as a part of The Barn Theatre's summer season in Augusta, MI, where some of her favorite works included the designs for Rock of Ages, Groundhog Day, and Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella. Alongside her design and construction work, Karsen is also a passionate teacher and has enjoyed teaching courses at various universities. In her free time, she enjoys crossword puzzles and crocheting stuffed animals based on fairytale creatures.
