Sam Barthel is an actor and musician pursuing his BFA in Acting and minor in Film here at Shenandoah. Some of his roles include Juror #8 in 12 Angry Men, Longaville in Love's Labour's Lost, and Demetrius in A Midsummer Night's Dream. You may recognize him from his Scrooged monologue from the 2021 Holiday Gala or his performance as Everybody for the 2022 Conservatory Convocation. One of his favorite roles was the swash-buckling Black Stache in Peter and the Starcatcher, for which he won the National Capital Area Cappie award for Best Comic Actor in 2019. He has been recognized at the Virginia Theatre Festival, he is involved in the Shut Up! It's Shakespeare theatre troupe, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia music fraternity, Omicron Delta Kappa leadership fraternity, Delight Ministries, and he is an Eagle Scout.
