This project will be a performance of a series of songs sung a cappella, following the guidelines of the ICCA competitions. The ICCAs are the competitions in which a cappella groups from colleges across the nation compete against each other. The performances are 10 minutes long, and consist of both singing and choreography. These performances usually have a central theme, and the theme I’ve decided to use is songs about California. The four songs that will be included are Hotel California, California Dreamin’, Californication and California Girls. The music will be entirely arranged by Berent. The ensemble will be comprised of soprano, alto, tenor, baritone, bass and vocal percussion.
