The Once on This Island Concert will consist of 3 to 4 songs from the hit Broadway musical, Once on This Island. It tells the story of an island divided by wealth and colorism, full of darker-skinned peasants and lighter-skinned grand hommes. With the help of the gods, a young, orphan peasant girl, who dreams of finding her purpose in life, falls in love with a grand homme. The story is full of love, laughter, grief and hope. The cast will be all people of color, but the creative team is for everyone, though preferably also people of color.
