Shannon Lewis is a creative force who is passionate about her unique vision of storytelling through the collaborative process of theatre, television and film.

As a performer, she has a twenty-five year Broadway legacy. Her performance of I Gotcha in the Tony award-winning original Broadway cast of Fosse along with ten blockbuster Broadway musical credits, the Radio City Rockettes and countless television and film appearances, has solidified her iconic status in the dance and theatre worlds.

Conceiving, creating and executing as a producer, director and choreographer, Shannon brings a fresh and innovative point of view to her work. Her expertise in all levels of content ranges from small, focused solo scenes to original live theatrical events, to complex network television production numbers.

She founded FIRESTART Creative; developing impactful and original creative projects for film, theatre, television and live events.

Recently, Shannon choreographed digital and live projects for Last Week Tonight with John Oliver on HBO and on NBC, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and Saturday Night Live, including the viral digital short "BIG BOYS" starring SZA. She is the choreographer of the groundbreaking world premiere new musical The Secret Silk by Stephen Schwartz, John Tartaglia and Jim Henson's Creature Shop. She also released the original dance short sensations Joy~Full, My Discarded Men Suite, Don't Go, Sway and Comanche which she produced, conceived, directed and choreographed.

Other favorite theater direction and choreography includes an American in Paris, Beauty and the Beast, Mamma Mia, Claudio Quest and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Shannon is a reconstructeur and master educator for the Verdon/Fosse Legacy, setting and passing on her formidable knowledge of the work of Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon. She is also an adjunct professor in the commercial dance Bachelor of Fine Arts program at Pace University in New York City, and on faculty at world renowned studios STEPS on Broadway and Broadway Dance Center in New York City, where she teaches popular, sold-out classes.

Born in Toronto, now a dual citizen of the United States and Canada. Shannon is based in her beloved New York City.
