Julia Derflinger has trained over ten years in various genres. She completed her Bachelor of Music in PreK-12 choral music education at Liberty University in 2020 and is now pursuing a Master of Music in Performance (Voice) at Shenandoah Conservatory. Recent credits include being a featured monologist and ensemble member of Shenandoah Conservatory’s Native American Inspirations world premiere in the Venice Biennale Musica, both assistant directing/costume coordinating under Ella Marchment and performing in Shenandoah Conservatory's Hydrogen Jukebox, Gothic Opera and The New World of Opera productions, co-directing the OPERAtunity Mozart Scenes production and now covering Hermia in Shenandoah Conservatory's 2023 main stage opera A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She is incredibly grateful to God, her mentors, family, friends and partner for their love and steadfastness.
