Serenity Flores is a mezzo soprano originally from Springfield, Virginia. She is currently in her sophomore year pursuing her Bachelor of Music degree at Shenandoah Conservatory, studying with Dr. Fotina Naumenko. Operatic appearances at Shenandoah include portraying Hannah Wiener in Philip Glass’s Hydrogen Jukebox. She is currently portraying Mother Marie in Poulenc’s Dialogues of the Carmelites. Previously, she debuted a reimagined version of the Happy-O-Meter in the children’s opera Back into the World. In addition to singing, Serenity is a skilled harpist and frequently performs with the Shenandoah Conservatory Symphony Orchestra. She would like to thank her friends and family for always supporting her as well as her amazing teachers for constantly encouraging her.
