Mya Corby is a mezzo-soprano vocalist who is originally from Central New Jersey. She is currently a sophomore pursuing her Bachelor of Music in Music Education with a voice emphasis. She studies voice under Marita Stryker here at the conservatory and participates in the choirs around campus. She recently had the chance to perform in the La Biennale Arts and Music Festival in Venice Italy this past Fall semester! Her love of performing has only grown stronger since the first time she set foot on stage. This is her first opera and is so grateful for the opportunity to bring a new modern twist to the Shakespearean classic! She wants to thank Ella and Jan for taking a chance on her and for making this opera the best it can be!
