Alan Cary is a nineteen-year-old sophomore from Glen Allen, Virginia. He started playing violin and piano at the age of five, taking piano as his primary instrument at sixteen years old. He currently studies with Dr. John O’Conor. This summer, Cary went to Brevard Music Festival, where he studied with Jihea Hong-Park and Terrence Wilson. Other mentors include Maria Yefimova, Paul Hanson, William Wolfram, Amy Cheng and Steve Beck.
