Sofia Stankiewicz is a junior voice performance major from Reading, Pennsylvania. She is in the studio of Dr. Fotina Naumenko and has been studying classical voice for nine years. Recent opera credits include Mustardseed in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Shenandoah Conservatory), Emmie in Albert Herring (Harrower Opera Workshop in Atlanta, Georgia), and Second Lady in Die Zauberflöte (Harrower Opera Workshop in Atlanta, Georgia). She has received many awards and scholarships throughout the beginning stages of her career both in Pennsylvania and in the Shenandoah Community. Sofia was also chosen to perform in the recent Collaborative Arts: Voice & Piano recital with the co-founders of Lyric Fest in Philadelphia. She would like to thank her friends at SU and around the country for their constant encouragement in all her endeavors, and most importantly her parents and family for their love and support in everything she pursues.
