Raised in Corona, California, Philly Kang started musical theatre at the age of nine and joined a competitive dance team at the age of eleven. He attended the Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA), training in contemporary, hip-hop, ballet, jazz, acting and voice. At sixteen he was cast in a regional production of Newsies at 3D theatricals. Currently, Kang is a first-year musical theatre major at Shenandoah University.
