David M. Greenberg is the new Visiting Assistant Professor of Theatre Sound Design and Reinforcement. He previously designed Shenandoah Conservatory's Into the Woods, and will be designing Pippin, She Kills Monsters and Moscow, Cheryomushki. David also serves the conservatory as mentor to student designers and engineers on other performances.
Originally from Plantation, Florida, David received his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the University of Tennessee Knoxville, and his Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Sound Design and Technology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Before coming to Winchester, he served academically as director of audio for the University of Nebraska Kearney, as well as the sound supervisor for DeSales University, where David currently is an adjunct professor and designer of this season's productions of Intimate Apparel and Cinderella, opening right after Thanksgiving.
David's work as a sound designer and composer have most recently been seen on The Tempest, Sense and Sensibility, James and the Giant Peach (Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival) The Hunchback of Notre Dame (DeSales University) and composer for The Velveteen Rabbit (Children's Theatre of Charlotte).
