Kirsten Trump is celebrating directing her twenty-fifth play at Shenandoah with Qui Nguyen’s She Kills Monsters. Other recent Shenandoah University directing credits include Dracula, A Dream Play and We Are Pussy Riot. She has worked with the world-renowned Contemporary American Theater Festival in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, since its inception in a variety of roles, from actor to dialect coach, educational director and board member. Her dialect and speech coaching includes over seventy-five plays, and she has most recently worked as a voice and speech coach for the CATF production of Redeemed by Chisa Hutchinson in the 2023 season. Additional credits include dialect coaching for The House of the Negro Insane by Terence Anthony and directed by Tamila Woodard and Sheepdog by Kevin Artigue. In previous seasons Kirsten has worked on world premiere productions of such notable American playwrights as Lee Blessing, Keith Glover and Catherine Filleaux.
