John Tuvera Lim is a student of Dr. Byron Jones pursuing a Master of Music in voice performance at Shenandoah Conservatory. He recently graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a bachelor's in voice performance and was awarded Outstanding Bachelor of Music Performance by the School of Music. His former teachers there were professors Shelby VanNordstrand and Alisa Belflower.

In past productions, John has played the role of the Father in Hansel and Gretel, Ted Hughes in a new work by Ella Marchment (Caged Birds), and has played numerous characters in featured scenes from many shows and chorus members in a few productions at Opera Omaha. This summer for the first time, Mr. Tuvera Lim will play the role of Papageno in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte in Germany with the Lyric Opera Studio Weimar.
