Sasha

Reese Holahan is delighted to return to the Shenandoah Conservatory stage in the role of Sasha after making his debut as JFK in Caged Birds. Originally from Rochester, New York, Holahan is a rising performer and scholar now based in Winchester, Virginia. He is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Voice Pedagogy (Classical) at Shenandoah Conservatory and is a student of Dr. David Meyer.

Reese holds undergraduate degrees in voice performance and communication disorders and sciences from SUNY Fredonia. He has enjoyed opportunities to perform in a variety of genres and styles including opera, oratorio, choral, chamber, and musical theatre. Previous stage roles include Tistan (Le vin herbé), Paolino (Il Matremonio Segreto), The Evangelist (Bob Chilcott’s St. John’s Passion), and Boland (Dogfight). His academic interests extend across the areas of voice science, acoustic phonetics, and vocology, and he has presented research findings at the Voice Foundation Symposium.

Reese is grateful to be an active member of the campus community. He is a member of the Conservatory Choir and Resonance Chamber Singers, and he serves as a section leader for both First Presbyterian Church and The Valley Chorale.
