Dominic Jackson is a saxophonist, pianist, and composer from Stafford, Virginia. A Recent graduate of the Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, VA, Dom’s performance experience spans nearly every ensemble the school has to offer. He has played alto, tenor, and soprano saxophone while doubling on flute and clarinet in the Shenandoah Studio Big Band under the direction of Dr. Matthew Niess. As the former leading member of the Parea Saxophone Quartet, he has performed in Spain and France as well as the International Saxophone Symposium in 2020 and 2023. His original big band charts have been premiered by the Shenandoah Studio Big Band, including a performance of “They’ll Shine” at the National Museum of American History in DC. Dominic studies jazz saxophone with Darrel Brenzel and Luis Hernandez and Piano under Eric Byrd.
