James is a professional Lighting and Media Designer based out of the Washington DC Area. James is returning to SSMT for his third season, his Lighting and Projections design previously seen in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Cinderella. In the DC area, he has designed for the Mosaic Theater Company, NextStop Theatre, Riverside Dinner Theatre, Ravel Dance Company, Greater Washington Ballet, Fairfax Ballet, Rorschach Theatre, and The Creative Cauldron. Outside of DC his designs have been seen at the Illinois Shakespeare Festival, Clinton Area Showboat Theatre, Heartland Theatre and Falling Stars Theatre. James holds a BFA in Scenic and Lighting Design from the Shenandoah Conservatory and an MFA in Lighting Design from Illinois State University.
