Sarah Thompson is a freelance trombonist and teacher in the Northern Virginia and DC area. She is the trombonist for the pop rock cover band Ladia. She has had the opportunity to play for many musical theater production companies including Shenandoah Summer Music Theater (VA), Riverside Center for the Performing Arts (VA), Main Street Theatre Company (PA), Carmichael Center for the Performing Arts (PA), Stage Right (PA), and Mon River Arts (PA). She is also on the sub lists for The Altoona Symphony Orchestra (PA) and the Loudoun Symphony Orchestra (VA). Sarah received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Masters of Music Degree in Trombone Performance from the University of Delaware. She recently earned her Doctorate of Musical Arts from the Shenandoah Conservatory.  Her primary teachers include Chris Hornick, Christian Dickinson, Bruce Tychinski, Justin Moore, Matt Niess, and Jeff Cortazzo.
