Lourdes Rodriguez is pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Performance at Shenandoah Conservatory (anticipated class of 2023) and is from Hyattsville, Maryland. She is a trained coloratura soprano pursuing a career as a professional opera singer. In 2021, she received third place in both the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Virginia and Mid-Atlantic Regional Competition. Repertoire includes Plaintiff in Gilbert and Sullivan’s Trial by Jury from Joy Unbounded as directed by Julian Baldwin, Dorinda from Handel’s Orlando in Gothic Opera as directed by Ella Marchment, Susanna from Le Nozze Di Figaro in Opera Up Close as directed by Meaghan Deiter, and Mabel from Gilbert and Sullivan’s Pirates of Penzance in Ach Ich COVID: Opera Reimagined as directed by Vanessa Estaniel.
