Nā Hoku Lani means The Heavenly Stars . . . originally choreographed in 2008, this work reflects the deep affection I feel for my home in Hawaii, and my gratitude to the many local artists who profoundly inspired and influenced me when I was the same age as the students who dance this work for you today. Shenandoah is known as a home for "the children of the stars" and these dancers are certainly among the most beautiful!
