Sara Pavlak McGuire (monologue/text coach) is an adjunct faculty member with Shenandoah Conservatory's acting department. She is an actor and director originally from Chicago, Illinois, where she worked for twelve years with numerous equity and non-equity theatre companies. Some notable roles include Hamlet (Ophelia), A Streetcar Named Desire (Blanche), Time Stands Still (Sarah), and Agnes of God (Agnes). Notable directing credits includes When We Were Young and Unafraid. She has received multiple Chicago Jeff Award Nominations and received the award for her work in Agnes of God. She also served as casting director and co-artistic director of AstonRep Theatre Company in Chicago. She earned a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from Western Illinois University. Sara lives in Winchester, Virginia, with her husband Tim and their cat Kuna.
