Andrew Carson
Lighting Designer

Andrew Carson is a nationally recognized lighting designer. He has designed for theatres and music halls across the United States including Boston Symphony Hall, The Historic Barn Theatre and The Moody Theatre, among others. He launched the tour of the Grammy Award-winning choral group, Conspirare’s Considering Matthew Shepard that airs on PBS annually during pride month. Awards include the Suzi Bass Award for best lighting design of a play, the BroadwayWorld Award for best professional technical (lighting) design in Atlanta, the Oscar Wilde Award for best lighting design. Notable designs include The Savannah Music Festival, A Streetcar Named Desire, Moon Over Buffalo, Spitfire Grill, Rock of Ages, Pippin, A Chorus Line, Spring Awakening, The Marriage of Figaro, Oklahoma!, West Side Story, Newsies, 42nd Street, The Bridges of Madison County and Mary Poppins. Andrew holds a Master of Fine Arts from The University of Texas in theatrical design–lighting design and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in production design–lighting and scenic design from the Savannah College of Art & Design.
