Shannon Fowler is a mezzo-soprano originally from Culpeper, Virginia. She is pursuing her Bachelor of Music in Performance (Voice) at Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, Virginia, studying with Dr. Fotina Naumenko. Her operatic experience includes roles in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Shostakovich’s Moscow, Cheryomushki, and Monica Lewinsky in the original work Caged Birds with Shenandoah Conservatory in 2023. Other notable roles from her high school career include Cosette in Les Misérables and Naomi in their One-Act VHSL performance of 21 Chump Street by Lin-Manuel Miranda. Shannon is a decorated choral singer and a Shenandoah Conservatory Choir member. She recently competed in VA-NATS and won second place in her category, advancing to MARNATS. When she’s not on stage, she's working at Shenandoah Conservatory’s box office as a house manager.
