Sofia Stankiewicz is a senior voice performance major at Shenandoah Conservatory. She is in the studio of Dr. Fotina Naumenko and has been studying classical voice for ten years. Recent opera credits include Mustardseed in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Shenandoah Conservatory), Emmie in Albert Herring (Harrower Opera Workshop in Atlanta, Georgia), and Second Lady in Die Zauberflöte (Harrower Opera Workshop in Atlanta, Georgia). Recent solo credits include the soprano solo in Schubert’s Mass in G, winner of the undergraduate category from the Vocal/Choral Division in the 2023/24 Shenandoah Conservatory Student Soloists Competition, and the soprano soloist in Mozart’s Coronation Mass in C Major. An upcoming credit includes the Soprano Solo (Pie Jesu) in Faure’s Requiem with the Arts Chorale of Winchester. She has received many awards and scholarships throughout the beginning stages of her career both in her hometown of Reading, Pennsylvania, and in Shenandoah community. Sofia is a section leader at Trinity Episcopal Church in Upperville, Virginia, and soprano section leader in the Arts Chorale of Winchester. She would like to thank her friends at SU and around the country for their constant encouragement in all her endeavors, and most importantly her parents, family, and boyfriend, Jonathan, for their love and support in everything she pursues!
