Brendan Shirk is a versatile and passionate oboist with a strong musical foundation cultivated through years of working with outstanding ensembles and musicians. He served as the principal oboist of the VBODA All-Virginia Honors Orchestra in 2016 and 2017, and further refined his craft at the Eastman School of Music, where he now holds a bachelor’s degree in oboe performance. He has experience performing with groups such as the Richmond Symphony Orchestra and Eastman Wind Ensemble, along with various local ensembles in Virginia and New York. Currently, Brendan is pursuing a master’s degree in music performance at Shenandoah Conservatory, where he aims to further expand his artistic vision and love for music.
