James Campbell

This may be the most difficult timpani solo I have ever done just because of the coordination required to play both the hi hat and the timpani. I picked this piece for similar reasons as I picked Strange Joy—it has a great groove and challenges me to work on my hand to foot coordination. My favorite section of this piece is when the piece shifts to being super jazzy. It was a surprise when I first heard the piece and is so much fun to play!
