Kevin Covert is the Director of Musical Theatre at Shenandoah Conservatory, a position he has held for the past six years. Some Shenandoah University directing highlights include the U.S. collegiate premiere of Something Rotten!, 1776 and Urinetown. Prior to entering education, he spent most of his career in New York City as a Broadway actor appearing in the original casts of Spamalot, Memphis and the most recent revival of How to Succeed. Upon the closing of Hair, he will return to New York for two months to play Mayor Harrison Fox in the New York City premiere of the Jim Henson Company’s Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Christopher Gattelli.
