Abigail Gorsuch (she/her) is a pianist, music director, and orchestrator, currently pursuing her degree at Shenandoah Conservatory, where she has spent years mastering the ancient art of pressing buttons dramatically. She is deeply honored to play Spamalot’s two most pivotal sounds—the gunshot and the fart—and hopes that when your eardrums shatter and your dignity crumbles, you’ll think of her fondly.
Abby recently served as piano conductor and associate music director for Waitress (University Premiere), where she played thousands of notes and only missed, like, three. She has lent her talents to the summer theater circuit at Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre (SSMT), Mac-Haydn Theatre, and Papermill Playhouse, and has contributed to Into the Woods, Tuck Everlasting, and A Chorus Line as a rehearsal pianist and keyboardist.
Additionally, she has collaborated with New York City Center as an assistant music director, orchestrator, and copyist for Perfect Summer Evening, a new work. This likely means she spent a lot of time in a dark room staring at a laptop, but she assures you, it was very glamorous. She extends her deepest thanks to her mom, dad, and sister for their unwavering support, and for still claiming her despite the fact that she has willingly devoted her life to a profession where she will always be on the verge of unemployment. Enjoy!
